India A cricket team have named Tilak Varma as captain for the upcoming tri-nation ODI series in Sri Lanka. Young all-rounder Riyan Parag has been appointed vice-captain, while teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi also earned a place in the squad. Aggressive opener Priyansh Arya, who impressed in the Indian Premier League with Punjab Kings, has also been selected.
The tournament will feature India A cricket team, Sri Lanka A cricket team, and Afghanistan A cricket team. Matches are scheduled to begin on June 9 following the conclusion of the IPL, with all games set to be played in Dambulla.
After the ODI series, the India A side will also play an unofficial Test match in Galle. India are set to play four matches during the tri-series campaign.
